Extra Curricular Activities / Clubs
Spring Term Activities
We are delighted to be able to continue to offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs for pupils in Year 1 to Year 6 this term. We have introduced a number of new clubs to the school which we feel the pupils will benefit from and enjoy.
Extracurricular activities play a vital role in a child’s education by helping students develop confidence, social skills, teamwork, and creativity - complementing academic learning and supporting well-rounded personal growth, Children will get the chance to play fun games and learn new skills in our clubs. Dance club will perform what they have learnt at the end of each term in assembly. We are excited to be able to offer clubs provided by CVLife to our pupils this term. We feel by making links with clubs in the community our children will benefit from specialised coaching and get opportunities to take part in clubs outside of school.
Please read the table below for information about the clubs and where your child will need to be collected from afterwards.
Clubs will start week commencing Monday 19th January 2026 - week commencing Monday 23rd March 2026. All of our clubs will run from 3:30-4:30pm. The clubs run over a 10-week period and will be £13.50 for the term. There are a limited number of spaces in the clubs and these will be offered on a first come, first served basis. If there are any staff absences or the outdoor clubs cannot take place due to weather we may have to cancel the clubs, parents will be contacted via the My Child At School App.
In order to sign up and pay for the clubs please go to the 'My child At School App' and use the clubs tab on the main page.
If you have any queries on any of the above information, please contact Mr Openshaw or the school office.

Residential Trips
At Willenhall Community Primary School, we offer the children two opportunities to attend residential trips. Children in Year 5 are offered a 5 day trip to Plas Dol-Y-Moch in Wales. They gain experience of being in the outdoors in an environment totally different to where they live in the big City of Coventry. They participate in kayaking, climbing, gorge walking, orienteering, hiking up mountains, visiting the beach, exploring mines and much much more.
In Year 6, children get the chance to visit Barcelona in Spain. They can try out their Spanish by ordering food and drinks and taking part in a bit of shopping. The children visit the beach, the swimming pool, the famous Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou and many more famous sights. Obviously, the experience of going on holiday with your friends on a plane, is a big part of the adventure.
Making memories in primary school that will last a lifetime.
