Junior Leadership

At Willenhall Community Primary School, we have developed a wide range of leadership positions so as many children as possible are able to contribute to our community.

We take our junior leadership positions seriously.  Each role has a job description and personal specification, and children write applications and have an interview to be accepted for their role - great practice for their future careers!  The roles include assembly monitors, fruit monitors, IT monitors, playground buddies who support our OPAL provision, admin assistants who work in the school office, as well as our team of Junior PCSOs who work with local Community Support Officers to help our local community.

School Council

We have an active school council made up of children from across the school.  There is a democratic process to elect the council members, including a week of campaigning and then a formal vote.  The council members are allocated subjects which they are linked to and take on various roles across the school to support the senior leadership team.  They take the lead with our fundraising events, are key members of the school junior leadership team and often get the opportunity to visit the houses of parliament.
